A quartz floor is a modern, decorative, superior strength flooring system that is suitable for residential, commercial and industrial settings, inside and outside. First a base layer of epoxy resin or polyaspartic is laid. The quartz sand – is then broadcast (scattered) on top of the base coat and allowed to dry. A second broadcast can then be applied if desired. When ready, the quartz floor will be prepared for the top layer that is then applied in one or two coats depending on preference. This seals everything in and produces a superiorly strong, durable floor.
Why choose a quartz floor?
Choose quartz flooring for its aesthetically pleasing, super strong, chemical-heat-stain and slip resistant properties. Whether its for commercial, industrial or residential spaces, inside or outside, quartz flooring is a modern, seamless, easy to clean, hygienic option – more so than other flooring options due to not being able to tear, not having grout lines, joins, etc which means bacteria does not grow and grime does not build up. It is ideal for areas with very heavy foot traffic or heavy machinery (forklifts, cars, etc) and is a much better option than high build paint. Quartz floors will add personality to any boring floor. When professionally installed, quartz flooring will last from 10-20+ years. There are a few colour options from single coloured grains to combinations of coloured grains to suit your preference.

Where can quartz flooring be laid?
Quartz flooring can be laid in your home or your business, inside or outside and on any sub base that has been correctly prepared. For outside areas, this is a great option for car wash businesses, outdoor seating areas, driveways, garden spaces, pathways, disability ramps, etc, that are made from concrete slabs as this system can go on top of the prepared concrete slab, costing less than having it landscaped. Quartz flooring is the new go to option to replace high build paint and is great for many residential and work environments like, kitchens – home or commercial – health care buildings, dentists, car garages, show rooms, schools, toilets, swimming areas, spas/wellness centres (quartz floor has a good slip rating) to name just a few. Quartz flooring is great for anywhere that needs brightening up and needs a very strong durable heat or chemical resistant floor. It can even be applied to walls (like cap and coving but more hygienic and stronger) or can be used alongside other epoxy resin flooring systems like metallic epoxy resin floors or flake floors. If you want it on a counter/worktop, we can do that too.
How do you clean quartz floors?
As with most floors, regularly sweep with a soft bristle broom and promptly clean any spillages. Clean with warm water, mild detergent and mop when needed or once a week. Steam type mops are also a great way to clean quartz flooring. Avoid using any abrasive types of cleaning equipment.
How long do quartz floors take to be laid?
Quartz floors, similar to flake floors, can be laid in as little as one day with small to medium areas. Even with larger areas, quartz flooring can be laid in good time, meaning minimal disruption to businesses. On day one, the preparation, base coat and broadcast will usually be completed. The second day will consist of preparing the quartz floor for one or two top coats depending on specification or preference. With even larger jobs, the preparation will be completed on day one, day two will be base coat and broadcast and the third day will be top coats.
